Saturday, April 1, An Afternoon of Sports Poetry, Poets House  New York, NY Frank hosts An Afternoon of Sports Poetry celebrating the release of Ron Whitehead's new book: blistered asphalt on dixie highway: Kentucky Poetry is Poetry in Motion (Finishing Line Press). Special guest readers include Quincy Troupe (Miles Davis biographer, son of Negro Leagues catcher Quincy T. Trouppe, Danny Shot (Hoboken Museum Poet-in-Residence), Perry Barber (one of the only female umpires in professional baseball), and New York poet and artist  Steve Dalachinsky. Thurs, April 13, The Annual Reading of Dante's Inferno at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, New York City The annual reading of key selections from the Inferno by Dante Alighieri. This dramatic literary event will take place in the Cathedral, with selected Cantos read by honored guests, distinguished poets, eminent translators and visiting scholars including Michael Palma, Charles Martin, Frank Messina, Marilyn Nelson, John Simko, and others. Hosted by The Very Reverend Dr. James A. Kowalski, Cathedral Dean, and Cathedral Poet-in-Residence Marilyn Nelson. The Cathedral of St. John the Divine, 1047 Amsterdam Ave @ 112th St. New York. 9pm-midnight. Followed by Pipe Organ meditation at midnight. Free and open to the public.

August, September: Filming Frank will be working on movie projects for most of  the months of August, September and October including Martin Scorsese's The Irishman.

October 13-22, Frank Messina Art Exhibition and Reception at Novado Gallery - Jersey City, NJ. Novado Gallery presents Frank Messina: The Hurricane Series Paintings. The exhibition features works made with materials found in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, which devastated much the New Jersey coastlines in 2012 including the Jersey City's Powerhouse Arts District, which has since been revitalized into a thriving art and residential community.
