Baseball Haiku: Three Poems

Spring Training

Sun shines on diamond,
two birds on a citrus limb
ball meets bat, a crack!

April

Ball glove hangs on hook
dust, cobwebs, a creaking door,
small hand reaches up

Ageless

Old man unwraps gift,
two tickets to the ballgame,
a gray-haired child smiles
